OFFSHORE SAILING SCHOOL

Summer Sails offers to its pupils an instructive process which includes basic courses necessary to learn the rudiments of sailing and advanced courses for people who want to learn the art of sailing far from the coast.

 That’s a wonderful way to live sea like real professionals: inaccessible bays, lots of new friends, sportsmanship and seafaring spirit are the basic ingredients of our training cruises. You will be never “transported”, but always involved in life on board boat and led by a teacher-skipper.

FIRST LEVEL COURSE
For people who have no experience and want to learn the rudiments of sailing.

SECOND LEVEL COURSE
For people who have already attended the First level course or who have a similar experience and want to deepen their knowledge of sailing.

THIRD LEVEL COURSE – Short training cruise
Two full immersion days into the problems of sailing: mooring, anchorage, gps, vhf, etc.

FOURTH LEVEL COURSE - Deep-sea cruise
Six days devoted to the art of sailing far from the coast.

DRIFT SAILING SCHOOL

An easy and amusing way to learn sailing which allows everybody to enjoy this exciting experience.
These courses are performed all the year round in Messina and they include three different levels:

BASIC COURSE
An easy course for people who know nothing, don’t know much or who have forgotten their knowledge of sailing.
Length: 20 hours nautical activity + 15 hours didactic activity.
Aims: learning the rudiments necessary to pilot a drift with middle wind. Admission to the intermediate course.
Minimum experience required: no one

INTERMEDIATE COURSE
Improvement course.
Length: 20 hours nautical activity + 15 hours didactic activity.
Aims: self-sufficient, cognizant control of a drift with middle wind.
Minimum experience required: basic course or good experience of sailing.

ADVANCED CORSE
Specialization course on 470 and catamaran.
Length: 20 hour nautical activity + 15 hour didactic activity.
Aims: great skill in manoeuvres, full control of the boat.
Minimum experience required: intermediate course.
